Beef Wellington & Bacon Asparagus Wraps

Beef Wellington

Beef Wellington Made With Meat From Normanby Butchery Of Hawera South Taranaki

Ingredients

  • Whole beef fillet
  • Puff pastry sheets
  • Prosciutto/ Parma ham (needs to be thinly sliced) – I use smoked
  • Blue cheese sliced
  • Egg white
  • Oil

Instructions

  1. Add oil to pan Sear beef in pan on all sides till nicely coloured. Set aside to cool.
  2. Prepare pastry on floured bench layer prosciutto ham and cheese.
  3. Add beef fillet roll up fold ends to keep cheese in.
    Glaze with egg white.
  4. Bake at 180- 200 for approximately 1 hour will depend on size of fillet used.
  5. Once pastry is brown. Use a skewer to check if meat is cooked.

Bacon Asparagus Wraps

Bacon Wraps Made With Meat From Normanby Butchery Of Hawera South Taranaki

Ingredients

  • Bacon
  • Asparagus
  • Halloumi (can use any cheese Brie /Blue etc.)
  • Puff pastry

Instructions

  1. On floured bench cut pastry into squares.
  2. Slice cheese to desired thickness cut ends off asparagus.
  3. Layer bacon asparagus cheese to pastry squares and wrap.
  4. Glaze with egg white.
  5. Bake at 180 – 200 till pastry is cooked brown & crisp.
